Capturing the essence of this timeless model, the affordable Epiphone SG Standard is a new page in the book written by its predecessors, with a history rooted in the 1960s.
This Epiphone SG Standard's tone is largely derived from its SG (Solid Guitar) solid mahogany body, offering a foundation of warmth while being cut to the SG "horned" classic style. Attached with a set-neck construction in SG fashion, the SlimTaper mahogany neck features an Indian laurel fingerboard with Pearloid trapezoidal inlays and 22 Medium Jumbo frets, and offers a total scale length of 24.75".
The SG's constant popularity has led to its continuous production, becoming a symbol of the iconic humbucking sound with a rich, fat tonal palette, and this Epiphone SG Standard continues that legacy, with twin Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers. Featuring Alnico V magnets, these pickups deliver acclaimed versatility, all easily controlled with simple, SG style controls including two Volume and 2 Tone knobs, controlling aspects of individual pickups.
