Werkzame bestanddelen
Elke Nicotinell Mint 2 mg zuigtablet bevat 2 mg nicotine (in de vorm van 6,144 mg nicotine bitartraat dihydraat).
Hulpstoffen
maltitol (E965), watervrij natriumcarbonaat, natriumbicarbonaat polyacrylaat, xanthaangom, watervrij colloïdaal siliciumdioxide, levomenthol, pepermuntolie, aspartaam (E951) en magnesiumstearaat.
Dosering
Gebruik Nicotinell Mint zuigtablet altijd precies zoals beschreven in deze bijsluiter of zoals uw arts of apotheker u dat heeft verteld. Twijfelt u over het juiste gebruik? Neem dan contact op met uw arts of apotheker. Nicotinell Mint zuigtablet is verkrijgbaar in twee sterkten: 1 en 2 mg. Nicotinell Mint 1 mg zuigtablet kan alleen gebruikt worden (a) of in combinatie met Nicotinell pleisters (b). Volwassenen ouder dan 18 jaar (a) Behandeling met alleen Nicotinell Mint zuigtabletten Nicotinell Mint 1 mg zuigtablet worden aangeraden bij een lage tot matige nicotineafhankelijkheid (minder dan 20 sigaretten per dag). Het is niet aanbevolen voor rokers met een sterke tot zeer sterke nicotineafhankelijkheid (meer dan 30 sigaretten per dag). Indien de hoge sterkte (zuigtablet van 2 mg) bijwerkingen veroorzaakt, dient het gebruik van de lage sterkte (zuigtablet van 1 mg) te worden overwogen. Dosering voor volwassenen ouder dan 18 jaar Zuig op een zuigtablet wanneer u de drang voelt om te roken. In het algemeen dient er één zuigtablet om het uur of om de twee uur te worden gebruikt. Normaal zijn 8 tot 12 zuigtabletten per dag voldoende. Indien u toch nog de drang voelt om te roken, dan mag u extra tabletten opzuigen. Gebruik niet meer dan 24 tabletten per dag van de zuigtabletten van 1 mg (dit is zowel van toepassing als men wil stoppen met roken als wanneer men wil minderen met roken). Gebruik niet meer dan 1 zuigtablet per uur. Nicotinell zuigtabletten moeten in de eerste plaats gebruikt worden om te stoppen met roken.
Aanwijzigingen voor gebruik
Een zuigtablet dient in de mond genomen te worden met de bedoeling deze te laten oplossen. Af en toe moet de zuigtablet van de ene kant van de mond naar de andere verplaatst worden, net zolang totdat de zuigtablet volledig is opgelost (+/- 10 minuten). De zuigtablet niet kauwen of in het geheel doorslikken. Gebruikers mogen niet eten of drinken wanneer zij een zuigtablet in de mond hebben. Niet langer dan 9 maanden gebruiken, zonder overleg met arts.
