The 2017 Young Gun of Wine started his career at Shaw + Smith before a stint at Vietti in Barolo, returning to work at Revenir alongside Peter Leske & Taras Ochota. There’s a lot to enjoy here from estategrown classics to Michael’s cutting-edge Artisan Series, with grapes sourced from similarly cool climes in the Adelaide Hills.
The Cronberry. Excellent name for a wine. Spicy with a pleasant bunchy green perfume, raspberry and cherry. Medium bodied, sweet berries, plum and vanilla, laden with spice and cut back with cranberry acidity and slaty tannin. Finish is juicy and pretty long. Very easy to enjoy.
