The recycled clear glass has a slight blueish green colour. This colour occurs when remelting used glass. For artisan hand blown glass, recycling glass is actually not that easy, because the recycled glass requires a high purity and quality. The combination of the traditional production process and the recycling of the glass ensures that each vase has its own unique and distinct characteristics. 

MOUTH BLOWN GLASS: DutZ vases are unique! Each glass vessel or glass object is made by hand from mouth blown glass. Every item is carefully crafted in the most traditional way by our master glassblowers from our European glass studios. This ancient craft has hardly changed throughout the ages.

UNIQUELY CRAFTED: Each DutZ Collection vase, bowl, pot, or art object is therefore slightly different in colouring, shape and dimensions. Small deviations such as air bubbles, scratches, colour saturation are not defects, but a result of the process of traditional glass blowing. They enrich the product and give it a unique appearance. All DutZ vessels and objects are made from rich, heavy, luxurious glass; Usually it is 3 mm thick. The colouring is mixed inside the glass and not painted on. No DutZ vessel is ever exactly alike. And we like it that way!
