Vintage Turkish Folk Necklace with Faux CoinsThis is a very nice folk Turkish folk necklace that is probably from the second half of the twentieth century. It features five crescent moons, each with five small faux Ottoman coins. The necklace is entirely made by hand from a metal alloy that probably has copper, nickel, and zinc. A very pleasing composition and is generally in good shape though there is some tarnish and one coin is missing. Length 44 cm (17 3 8"). The drop is 5. 6 (2 1 4").
