About the Winery: Domaine Jean Macle (represented on labels as Domaine Macle) is a highly regarded wine producer based in Château-Chalon in the Jura region of western France. The estate produces a range of classic Jura wines, including a requisite vin jaune from Savagnin in the estate's home appellation.
Although the current domaine was established in the mid-Twentieth Century, the genesis of its vineyard holdings and base go back to the antecedents of the Macle family when they moved to Château-Chalon in the mid 19th Century.
