Originally designed as versatile session instruments, Yamaha continues its Pacifica lineage with the PAC612VIIX electric guitar in a Mist Green gloss finish. Supplying single-coil sweetness and humbucker bite, this Pacifica shines for all genres, utilizing wood-favorites for stellar tone and unforgettable playability.
This Pacifica starts with a double cutaway Alder solidbody finished in a gloss Mist Green. For all styles and sounds, the Alder supplies a balanced tone that doesn't skew in any particular direction, making it a perfect choice for a sonic all-rounder. The maple neck with 25.5" scale length will feel familiar to most players, setting up all sessions for greatness. Affixed to the neck is a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium sized frets, providing a pronounced tone in the mid-range, annunciating attacks for distinct leads and chords.
Enhancing the guitars resonance and applying a tremolo system for increased expression, the Wilkinson VS50 6 bridge offers ideal string spacing for a comfortable, stable experience that keeps intonation and tone in check. No matter how hard you dive, this bridge will maintain proper pitch when it resolves back to normal position. Lending another helping hand to tuning, Yamaha chose Grover locking tuning machines for classic reliability, holding any and all tunings needed on this Pacifica.
Supplying the diverse sound of the Pacifica, Seymour Duncan single-coil and humbucker pickups are utilized for soaring, ripping tones. Found in the neck is a Seymour Duncan TB-14 single-coil pickup, while the middle position offers a Seymour Duncan SSL-1 single-coil pickup. In the bridge, however, lays a Seymour Duncan SSL-1 humbucker pickup, offering a bit of bite under the smooth tones of the other positions, making this Pacifica, paired with 5-way pickup selector and coil-tap tone knob, a sonic powerhouse.
