Enhance your fence line or a post with a classic bird shelter when you place this Coveside Eastern Bluebird House with Large Roof on it. These birds readily use man made nest boxes, helping them locate suitable roosting spots, and this option is specifically crafted to keep the interior dry for your feathered friends. A significant, pine roof attaches to the top of this classic nest box with the included screws, and its overhanging sides direct water away from the center chamber easily. The roof also slopes downward and has an extended front edge, keeping rain out of the 1.5" diameter entry hole. A wooden block around this entry keeps squirrels and raccoons from reaching the nest, and a ladder inside the front panel helps nestlings exit when ready. Slots below the roof overhang aid in ventilation and temperature regulation, while corner gaps on the base allow any captured water to drain. One side panel lifts for occasional nest checks, and latches closed for avian safety. Its flat back with attached hanger encourages mounting against a wall or post, or a mounting adapter (not included) can be affixed to the base for pole mounting. Pretty good, especially for this price point.

This is merely a piece of cloth stretched between the frame borders, but it works perfectly. It arrived quickly, all parts present and in good condition. I didn't put the castors on, as it will be more or less always in one position. I simply attached some felt sliders on the bottom to prevent scratching the floor and to allow clearance for the center screw (which is not flush fit). Overall, a reasonable deal for the price point.
