Measurement/ruler dots are 1 inch apart cut directly into the Walnut handle. We went through 4 or 5 different shapes before we settled on what we find to be a great balance of grip and comfort. Our nets are handcrafted with a teardrop shape so that the end of the hoop is large enough to pull in any catch, while the holes of the fish safe rubber net bags are small to avoid losing a smaller catch.
We spend a lot of time picking beautifully grained wood from central Pennsylvania. It is important to stay close by so that we can have a hand in not only picking the most beautiful wood, but also in processing it down correctly. Also, staying local is akin to staying eco friendly.
What is a Wayward Natural Landing Net? The Walnut handle is the centerpiece of the net which marries into the Hickory hoop with a Walnut pinstripe.
