This generates excess heat, which can be enough to melt both the fuse and the holder.
Avoid fuse problems with a REDARC 40A Fuse Kit. The REDARC fuse boxes are offered in 40A and 60A versions and are designed for BCDC installations. The REDARC 100A version is designed for SBI installations. Each REDARC fuse box comes with (2) fuse holders, (4) 40A fuses, cable crimps, and a detailed instruction sheet.
