The Tone Job V2 is designed to shine in two particular places, before a pedal chain and after. Placing the Tone Job before an effect pedal can be used to build gain while placing it after can alter the signal to accentuate mid, bass, and treble tones. Alone, the Tone Job V2 boosts a clean signal up to 5x by using the level knob to control post-EQ volume.
