The contoured body shape improves playing comfort whether standing or seated, providing access across all 24 frets.
The five-piece neck combines maple and mahogany for a blend of strength and stability, finished in satin polyurethane for a smooth, fast feel. A rosewood fingerboard with a 600mm radius provides a familiar platform under the fingers, supporting both fingerstyle and slap techniques. Its 34-inch scale length and 43mm nut width balance string tension and spacing for confident five-string performance.
Electronics are centered around a pair of Yamaha-designed M3 ceramic humbuckers, tailored to reduce noise while preserving definition across the full frequency range. The onboard active electronics include volume, pickup balance, bass, and treble controls, alongside a 5-way Performance EQ switch—giving you preset tone profiles for different playing scenarios, from soloing to slap to heavy picking.
