A shimmering, soft and strong yarn produced from ultrafine superwash merino with mulberry silk added for a natural lustre, added strength and more drape. Worsted spun from long staple fibres to produce a yarn with great stitch definition. The silk adds extra body to the yarn to hold stitches in shape on larger or lacey items. Creates items that shimmer in the light and have luxurious drape. Ideal for socks, shawls, scarves, gloves, jumpers and baby items. Can be used in its natural colour or dyed. Takes up the dye well to produce strong, vibrant colours that reflect the light.

The main factor determining the quality of merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibres. This is extrafine merino (19.5 microns) which is some of the finest commercially available for hand dyers. This results in a supersoft yarn that feels gentle against the skin.
