Design: During breaks from carving, I pick up a brush and paint a few small ink paintings. Sometimes, I find a hint of inspiration in the charm of the ink. The design process is like picking up a favorite seashell on the beach or discovering a forgotten lotus seed pod in an autumn pond. Everything is accidental, wonderfully fitting.

"Ou Shi," another name for lotus seed pods, sounds like "accidentally picked up" in Chinese. Just like the design process, the inspiration found by chance forms this interesting "Ou Shi" lotus seed pod.

The lotus seed pod part is carved using a detailed freehand technique, intentionally preserving the carving marks to express the "proud and independent" spirit of a dried lotus seed pod after autumn. The hair stick is made of brass with a hand-hammered texture. The brass will gradually oxidize and darken over time, adding a sense of history and change.

Material: Ebony wood, brass.
Size: Total length approximately 17.5cm. The lotus seed pod part is about 3cm long and 2.2cm wide, and the brass part is about 4mm thick.
