Each Fruit Stand takes about a month to complete and only six are made at a time. The fruit bowl is created by moulding the porcelain by hand and the interior is glazed. The sculptural foot is hand thrown on the wheel by one of the John Julian skilled potters. Each are fired separately and then the Fruit Stand is fired together as a whole.
As each piece is made by hand there will sometimes be some slight variation in colour and size, but we see this as part of their individual character and charm.
