Like any large-displacement diesel, the 6.7L generates an immense amount of heat and strain on the cooling system. Luckily, the Super Duty's radiator is robust enough to get the job done, but some of its supporting components aren't so robust, specifically the primary cooling system's degas tank.Like many manufacturers, Ford incorporates plastic into many of their engine components, including the degas tank.
