Description:
The Vivax Metrotech vLoc3 Accessory A-Frame accessory is used to detect ground faults on pipes and cables. In the case of pipes, the faults consist of coating defects. Insulation damage on a cable allows the metallic sheath (or internal conductor) to come in contact with the ground. In order to find a fault, you will plug the A-Frame into your receiver using the provided lead. Then if you turn on the receiver it will automatically open the A-Frame screen.
Compatibility:
As far as compatibility is concerned, you can use the vLoc3 Accessory A-Frame with the vLoc3 series range of locators and fault-find enabled transmitters. You apply the signal to the damaged pipe or cable with a Vivax-Metrotech transmitter and pick up that signal with a receiver. The following receivers will work with this A-Frame: vLoc3-DM, vLoc3-Pro, vLoc3-5000, vLoc3-9800, vLocPro2, vLoc3-ML. The vLoc3 Accessory A-Frame will also work with either of the 5, 10, 25 and 150-watt transmitters.
