The Ti-Spork Chop is a single-piece titanium tool with six built-in functions: (1) spork for eating, (2) pry bar for opening cans, paint lids, and sterno, (3) bottle cap lifter, (4) box opener for cutting packing tape, (5) coffee stir stick, and (6) an integrated pocket clip for carry on a pocket, MOLLE webbing, or pack strap. Why is the PDW Ti-Spork Chop $79 when titanium camping sporks cost $20-$25?
Standard camping sporks — Snow Peak, UCO, Toaks — are single-function eating utensils stamped or formed from sheet titanium. The Ti-Spork Chop is precision machined from a solid billet of 6AL-4V aerospace grade-5 titanium to a form factor that integrates six functions and an integrated pocket clip. The machining tolerance, material grade, and design complexity are not comparable. It is a pocketable EDC multitool that happens to include a spork, not a camping spork with extras.
What titanium grade is the Ti-Spork Chop made from?
6AL-4V grade-5 titanium — the same aerospace alloy used in PDW's compass cases, knife handles, and watch accessories. It is food safe, corrosion resistant, and will not impart metallic taste. Grade-5 titanium is significantly stronger than the commercially pure (CP) titanium used in most camping sporks.
Can the Ti-Spork Chop clip to MOLLE gear?
Yes. The integrated pocket clip is sized to fit standard MOLLE webbing, pack sternum straps, and shoulder straps, in addition to standard pocket carry. It is milled as part of the single-piece titanium construction — there is no separate clip to lose or break.
Does the Ti-Spork Chop come packaged for gifting?
