The RG470PB is designed with a meranti wood body and poplar burl top. This combination of tonewoods result in a double-cutaway form that is effortlessly carried and held. Decked out in a Red Eclipse Burst finish, this body is instantly captivating and tonally expressive. The body of this Ibanez is matched with a maple neck in a Wizard III profile. Thin, flat and seamlessly playable, the Wizard shape makes for quick maneuvers up and down its length. The maple neck is matched with a jatoba fingerboard bearing twenty-four Jumbo frets for articulate fretting.
For an incredible sonic profile, this Ibanez is stocked with a set of Quantum humbucker and single-coil pickups. These passive/ceramic tone machines operate with great versatility for an exceptionally expressive experience. This expression is enhanced by the addition of an Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge, designed with a low profile for ease of access while playing. An added stud lock function helps in retaining stability in tuning even with the deepest vibrato bends. Further features present on this Ibanez include a locking nut and a 15.748" radius for an ultra-modern feel across the fingers.
