Our Glucosamine & Phytodroitin™ uses 4 main ingredients, each specially selected to support and strengthen your joints: 

Glucosamine HCL: Glucosamine holds together our joint cartilage and we need high enough levels for healthy cartilage to prevent bones from rubbing against each other. Glucosamine is also needed for synovial fluid (the joints oil) for better lubrication and cushioning.

One landmark trial saw that those who had taken glucosamine underwent fewer surgical knee replacements and used fewer painkillers than those who didn't. 

However, it is not possible to get significant amounts of glucosamine from our diets. Our Glucosamine comes in the form of Glucosamine HCL. This is the best form because it has a slightly higher concentration than glucosamine sulphate and has better stability which means it has maximum absorption and utilisation by the body for fast relief.

Phytodroitin™: Chondroitin is one of the building blocks of cartilage. It is chondroitin’s job to help your cartilage hang on to water – increasing its elasticity so it can deal with the daily compression it undergoes. Its levels in our bodies decline as we age so it helps to top it up. Unfortunately, one of the main sources of Chondroitin for supplements is shark cartilage, so we have sourced a vegan alternative. 

Our scientists have created a 100% non-animal alternative to Chondroitin, produced using a blend of natural plant extracts. 

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that fights joint inflammation. It is also vital for the production of collagen, the main protein in joint tissue and bone. We have added Rosehips to the blend as a naturally rich source of Vitamin C.  

Turmeric: The curcumin in turmeric helps relieve the inflammation in our joints and improves mobility by protecting against cartilage disintegration. Curcumin does this by blocking specific enzymes and cytokines that lead to inflammation in the body. In fact in clinical studies, curcumin was found to outperform anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen. 

Ingredients

Glucosamine HCL: Glucosamine is a major building block of proteins called glycosaminoglycans, which are found naturally in our joints. It’s an especially important component of cartilage: the flexible tissue that protects the ends of our bones from friction when we move. Glucosamine HCL is the best form because it has a slightly higher concentration than glucosamine sulphate and has better stability which means it has maximum absorption and utilisation by the body for fast relief.

Phytodroitin™: a 100% natural plant alternative to Chondroitin. Phytodroitin helps to maximise the effectiveness of Glucosamine on the health, mobility, and flexibility of joints. 

Vitamin C: has been added to this formula because it is a co-factor for collagen synthesis. It contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth. 

Turmeric: Studies have shown that curcumin, a compound in turmeric, reduces inflammation in the body. Curcumin is a polyphenol. As well as better regulation of inflammation, its other potential benefits include fighting the effects of oxidation (antioxidant activity) and improved brain levels of the omega-3 fatty acid called DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

Rosehip: a great source of vitamin C and bioflavonoids. There is as much vitamin C in a cup of rosehip pulp as in 40 oranges! Vitamins A, B1-3, and K are also present. The bioflavonoids, present in the pulp and the rind of the fruits, exert a synergic action to vitamin C, enhancing its absorption rate. Studies show that rosehips reduce the symptoms of osteoarthritis and help sore, achy joints to function better.
