This block has been air dried to 10 12% moisture content. It's been heat treated to ensure there are no critters left inside. The block has several borer holes that you may want to fill

Texas Ebony Block TE-746 1.7" x 1.8" x 4.1" 0.5 lbs. This small, attractive Texas Ebony block is 100% heartwood. The grain pattern is swirly and attractive throughout the block. The heartwood has pretty variations in color, on the dark chocolate brown spectrum. This block has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. It's been heat-treated to ensure there are no critters left inside. The block has several borer holes that you may want to fill with epoxy prior to working with the block. Black CA glue is especially attractive with Texas Ebony. The visible holes are at the block edges and may turn off. There are possibly additional holes hidden inside -- the block is plenty strong, so you could choose to preserve them as-is rather than fill them in.
