1969 Gibson Les Paul Standard

Early 1969 Goldtop from the desirable transition period. Large headstock, no volute, one-piece mahogany body with maple top and a one-piece mahogany neck with long tenon — still to late-’68 spec, before the later ’69 changes (pancake body, volute, three-piece neck). Serial number 541869 (no “Made in USA” stamp), with CTS pots dated week 52 of 1968.

The original P-90s read 7.6k (neck) and 7.92k (bridge) — a strong, balanced set with an open, woody response. Weight is 4.15 kg, which is light for a ’69. The guitar was refretted in 2025 due to worn original frets (included in the case); clean work and excellent playability.

There were small hairline cracks at the headstock (near the truss rod cover) and at the neck tenon, professionally repaired in the past — fully stable and invisible. The back of the neck received a light clear overspray as part of that repair, nicely aged. The original goldtop finish on the top and the clear coat on the back and sides remain untouched.

Electronics are otherwise original, including the two Sprague Black Beauty capacitors. The solder joints at the caps have been redone at some point, the rest is untouched.

Comes in the original Gibson case.

Refreshing
It is a refreshing spritz, but I can't tell much difference between it and a good splash of water in the morning.

This spray serum is lovely!
This spray serum is very nice! First, let me qualify that my husband works in dermatology and I have access to high-end skin care products. I’ve taken good care of my skin for years and it’s already in great shape, so I never expect to see dramatically-improved results from any new product. That said, I was pleased with the Color Science Barrier Pro Serum Spray sent to me by Amazon Vine in return for my honest review. Does it make me look 10 years younger? No, but there is a “glow” after I spritz myself face that isn’t greasy or glittery, just skin that is hydrated and calm. The mist is very fine and doesn’t disturb my makeup, there’s no discernible scent, and it doesn’t sting my skin or eyes. It dries quick enough, maybe 30 seconds after I spritz it on. I’m not sure what to make of the claims that it helps my skin make its own vitamin D, but my skin feels refreshed and looks nice. I keep the spray bottle in my purse and use it throughout the day. It’s expensive emoji that I’d hesitate to purchase, but having used it, ai know the spray mist is extremely fine so it should last quite a while, even using it 3-4 times a day.
