While it does show scratching throughout the three drums, and pitting rust on some of the hardware, the drums are in good structural shape and the bearing edges are solid. This 1980's Black Cortex Ludwig Drum set in is good condition for its age. While it does show scratching throughout the three drums, and pitting/rust on some of the hardware, the drums are in good structural shape and the bearing edges are solid. A unique feature of this drum set is the fact that these have "Chicago" Keystone style badges, which leads us to believe it was built in a transition period for Ludwig. The sizes are 24x14, 16x16, 13x9. The original front kick drum head has been replaced and has a port hole cut in it.
In good condition, the outer finish is showing some light signs of wear and the hardware is showing some signs of pitting and rust in a few areas throughout the kit.
