The world-famous Fender Custom Shop produces some of the most sonically stellar and aesthetically outstanding instruments available today. With each guitar being a true one of a kind, every Fender Custom Shop guitar we see come through our shops is an impressive combination of sight and sound.

This Fender Custom Shop '52 Telecaster starts with an ash body and a rift sawn maple neck in a '57 Style Soft "V" profile. The fretboard features twenty-one frets with 6105 fret wire and a 7.25"-9.50" compound radius. This Tele is fashioned with a Fender Custom Shop Journeyman Relic finish treatment that shows across the body, neck, and fingerboard. Two handwound 50-51 Blackguard Relic single-coil pickups produce the snap and twang that made Telecasters famous across decades. This Fender Custom Shop Telecaster gives players a rough and distinguished look and feel that cannot be replicated.

SLIGHTLY disappointed because I thought this was bigger than it is. If you squish it all in close, it's maybe one and a half times the size of a tennis ball. (Of course, the size is probably listed; I think I just assumed, so my fault.) That being said, it's entertainingly twisty and squishy, though the rubber seems relatively sturdy. I'm not yet positive if it will hold up to the 8 month retriever/lab mix it's intended for; he tends to rip instantly through anything much less sturdy than kong natural rubber. But it seems like something that will amuse him, so we're going to give it a shot at Christmas.
