Released between 1971 and 1973, this avant-garde timepiece was born from an electrifying collaboration between Jaeger-LeCoultre, the storied Swiss-French horologer, and Pierre Cardin, the Parisian couturier who dressed The Beatles, dreamt up NASA spacesuits, and turned the Space Age into a fashion movement.

The PC108 was conceived as a true driving watch: its asymmetrical case is sharply sloped, allowing the dial to face the driver without lifting their hand from the wheel. It was ergonomics reimagined as sculpture, a watch that angles toward you like a dashboard instrument from a Citroën SM, equally at home on the autoroute or the runway. 

Unlike other Espace models built from Lucite, the PC108 pairs a stainless steel case with a sharply minimal dial. The white dial on one side features oversized numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9—bold, graphic markers that feel lifted from signage or aeronautics. Inside, a hand-wound French movement powers the piece. 

Floating above it all is the cinematic twist: a softly rose-tinted crystal that casts the dial in a warm, filtered glow like seeing the road ahead through Pierre Cardin’s rose-colored windshield. It turns every glance into a moment of optimism, as if the world itself were a beautifully stylish place, best viewed at golden hour, en route to somewhere glamorous.
