The RILEY east–west holdall brings a clean, minimalist exterior that wouldn’t look out of place on your shoulder—baby or not. Crafted from vegan suede with recycled lining, it’s lightweight, consciously made and set back to premium silver hardware for a directional, style-led edge.

Inside, it’s all about quiet organisation. The structured, spacious interior features two internal slip pockets to keep everyday parenting essentials exactly where you need them, alongside an insulated bottle sleeve. Do I love it? Yes. Is it well made? It certainly appears to be. Is the leather thick? Yes, I’d say definitely thick and sturdy. Do I like the color (Bootlegger Brown)? Of course I do, it’s gorgeous. It seems very well made. The corners are secured with black fasteners, which I think are going to better than the buttons in the long run that I’ve seen on others. It’s was this brand, or Hide and Drink for me. I went with these guys because it’s U.S. made, and hopefully American sourced leather. I bought the Large. My concern was that the XL might be too large for my nightstand. I measured it out and everything. However, I was not counting on the length and width to be measured from the end of the pinched corners, so I was a little disappointed about the size of the useable surface area. It’s not a big deal, but I wish that I’d have just spent the extra $5 and got the XL. If I we’re to get another, I definitely go with the XL unless you just want something on the smallish side, but still I suspect that they are larger that what most others are offering. At least these guys give you a choice of options.
