Floyd was the only other European photographic pioneer in the Far East to rival Chinese Thomson. "In 1863-64, he worked as an assistant in the photography studio of Richard Shannon & Co., in Shanghai. Floyd moved to Macau to establish his own studio along the Praia Grande. In 1866-67 he joined the Hong Kong studio of Silveira & Co., soon becoming its owner" (Historical Photographs of China, online).

Disappointing Quality
I got these floating shelves with LED lights for my wife, and at first, they seemed like a great purchase. She was really excited about them, and they were surprisingly easy to install. Unfortunately, after just two days, the LED lights completely stopped working. It’s really disappointing because the shelves looked great initially, and the added lighting was a nice touch. For the price, I expected much better quality and durability. It’s frustrating when something you’re excited about doesn’t live up to its promise. While the shelves themselves are still usable, the main feature—LED lighting—is what made them special, and that feature failed. I wouldn’t recommend these based on our experience.

Middle of the road for me. Not great, not horrible.

Easy to install. Just wanted something simple and inexpensive to liven up my back patio awning. I had them up in mere minutes with adhesive clips. My only complaint is that they are not as bright as one would expect LED lights to be. At night they to me provide more of a soft glow even at the brightest setting. I am not very certain whether they will stand up to hot desert heat. The instructions mentioned adhesive tape on the backs of each light, but there were none on the lights, nor in the box. I used my own. I will update my review after finding out if they do or not. I do like the remote feature however. They are just OK Update**Adhesive tapes were found which fell out of the box onto my floor, which I did not see. My fault. All good now.
