How many Maton guitars is enough? Apparently around 7 or 8.  This is a gently used 2022 model, originally purchased from Artisan Guitars. It is with us as a consignment from a long time Maton fan who just purchased two new ones... Rotating his inventory!

No fret wear, no dents or dings.. This JR Signature could pass for new. There are some very fine pick marks on the pick guard. It is setup to Maton factory specs with a fresh set of Elixir Phosphor Bronze strings (.012-.053). A very clean example of the Joe Robinson Signature model from Maton!

The Maton JR Signature model is the next chapter of a relationship that stretches back almost 15 years. Joe first visited Artisan Guitars during his introduction to Nashville while here for a recording session. Since that time Joe has met and performed with some of Nashville's finest "A-list" players. He accelerated well beyond his youth as a professional side man who can sit in with the top players in the world.

We are proud to feature Maton Joe Robinson Signature Model Guitar, a well deserved recognition of his superlative playing and performing skills.

One of the most inspiring players and singer songwriters in the industry today, the young Australian native Joe Robinson has always been demanding of his instruments, and has been incredibly particular about the specifications. The JR Signature Model features Tasmanian Myrtle back and sides with a spruce top, jumbo frets, an ultra-playable neck, and the lightest satin finish possible.

“I’ve been playing Maton guitars since I was 14 years old," Robinson said. “They really are a huge part of my sound, and it means a lot that the relationship has moved to this level. I am so proud of this signature guitar. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. The sound, feel and build quality are impeccable. I am so happy this guitar is now out in the world for others to enjoy.“

The proprietary Maton "808" body shape is similar, though slightly smaller that the US OM Model. However, the standard body depth of the 808 is substantially deeper at 4-7/8". This is significant, as moving the top and back further apart enhances the bass element within the tonal character of the voicing (bracing technique), complimenting the different wood combination.

The Maton AP5-Pro Electronics

In its 5th generation, the AP5 Pro features an internal Microphone and 6-Piezo bridge input, with controls that allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through the well engineered pre-amp.

The highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This upgraded AP5-Pro microphone is direct mounted to the pre-amp casing with an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artist's playing style.

Using the ‘Sweep-able Mid’ controls. Mid-range is sweep-able from 600Hz to 2.4kHz and can be cut or boosted within this range. As a general rule we start out with all settings ‘flat’ then alter them to achieve the desired tone & presence based on the venue or recording environment. For example, an open, natural sound can be achieved by setting the frequency control at 1.4khz and the boost/cut control at 5db. Alternatively, for a ‘thick’ lead sound boost your Mid's by 5db and set the frequency dial at 1.7kh.

My Go-To Sublimation Paper — Flawless Results Every Time
Size: 8.5"x11", Size: 8.5"x11"
This is hands down the best sublimation paper I’ve used and the only one I continue to buy. I get a perfect transfer every single time—no fracturing, no fading, and no uneven results. The paper dries fast, which makes my workflow so much smoother, especially when I’m producing items in batches. I use this regularly to make air fresheners and tote bags for my small business, and the color payoff is always vibrant and crisp. The transfer rate is excellent, and it works beautifully on light-colored, high-quality polyester and other sublimation-ready surfaces. If you’re a small business owner or crafter who values consistency, quality, and ease of use, this paper is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it and will continue to repurchase.

Best Sublimation Paper
Size: 8.5"x11"
I’ve been using A-Sub paper for my sublimation projects, and it is easily one of the best. The ink dries almost instantly once printed, so I don’t have to worry about smudging the design or getting those annoying "pizza wheel" marks from the printer rollers. The paper itself feels substantial and doesn't tear or curl easily. One of the biggest wins for me is that it never jams; it feeds through perfectly every time, saving me the frustration of wasting expensive ink and paper. When I go to press my designs, the ink releases almost completely, leaving very little behind on the paper and putting all that color onto the project. The final results look super professional, with colors that are vibrant and sharp rather than looking faded or dull. It has worked perfectly for everything I’ve tried so far, and if you want a reliable paper that gives you consistent, high-quality results, this is definitely the one to get.
