Description:
The multi-billion dollar business of the international conventional
arms trade involves virtually every country in the world. Around
the globe, people's lives are being irrevocably changed by the
effects of guns, tanks, and missiles. These weapons have the
potential to cause a deadly and current threat - one responsible
for hundreds of thousands of deaths a year.

This succinct and accessible new book explores the complexities
and realities of the global conventional weapons trade. The first
book on the subject in nearly a decade, The International Arms
Trade provides an engaging introduction to the trade, the
effects, and the consequences of these weapons. The authors trace
the history of the arms trade and examine how it has evolved since
the end of the Cold War. In particular, they assess the role of the
largest arms exporters and importers, the business of selling
conventional arms around the world, and shed new light on the
illicit arms trade and the shadowy dealers who profit from their
deadly commerce. The book also looks closely at the devastating
effect the business can have on countries, societies, and
individuals and concludes with an evaluation of the various
existing control strategies and the potential for future control
opportunities.

The International Arms Trade will be invaluable for
students and scholars of international relations and security
studies, and for policymakers and anyone interested in
understanding more about the conventional arms trade.

Essential Prep for Top Scorers
Format: Paperback
As someone who was initially apprehensive about the transition from the traditional SAT to the new Digital SAT (DSAT), this test prep book has been a game changer. What sets this book apart is its targeted approach. It's designed for students already scoring 600 or higher, focusing on the challenging questions of Module 2. This precision in practice ensures that you're not just reviewing what you already know - you're pushing the boundaries of your testing ability. Each question is expertly crafted to mirror the format and difficulty of the actual DSAT questions, which has helped me gain confidence in handling the trickier problems, especially in the adaptive sections. The explanations are thorough and insightful, providing deeper understanding and techniques that are crucial for the exam. Thanks to this book, I feel significantly more prepared than I ever have before. For anyone serious about aiming for the 99th percentile - this test prep book is for you!

Perfect for Serious Students!
Format: Paperback
As it states in the product details, the DSAT Prep book is great for students who already score 600 and higher. As a teacher and tutor of the SATs (among other standardized exams), I needed more practice sets outside of the Barron's, The Princeton Review, and The College Board publications, which tend to be more mindful of beginner learners. I wasn't confident that the modules and questions from these texts were sufficiently challenging strong students. The DSAT from Edenbrook Learning removed that doubt. I also appreciate the simplicity of the layout of the text: literally 4 tests with respective answer keys, raw score conversion, and explanations. There's no fluff — perfect for my needs. Will recommend to colleagues and students alike!

The Best!!!!!
Format: Paperback
These practice tests are excellent. I feels so lucky to have found this prep book for my daughter right before the big test in May. The explanations for the main idea questions, fill-in-the-blank parts, and rewriting sentences were super useful and helped my daughter get a score over 700. Can't wait for the next book to come out!!
