Application Instructions:

1. Surface Preparation: Clean and dry surface thoroughly. Remove any wax, oil, or polish and sand lightly.

2. First Coat: Dilute with 10% water for the first coat on porous surfaces. Apply evenly with a brush, roller, or sprayer.

3. Build Coats: Apply 2–3 coats total, allowing 1–2 hours between each. Lightly sand between coats.

4. Optional Finish: For a dead flat appearance with high durability, apply 2 coats Satin followed by 1 coat Dead Flat.

Appearance: Polyvine varnishes may appear milky white, cloudy, or clear in liquid form—this is completely normal and varies based on the finish type (gloss, satin, or dead flat). Once dry, they become crystal clear, exceptionally durable, and deliver the intended sheen level.

Technical Specifications:

• Drying Time: 30–60 minutes

• Recoat Time: 1–2 hours

• Full Cure: 16 hours (wait 48 hours before heavy use)

• Coverage: 10–20 m² per litre

• Cleanup: Warm soapy water

• Sizes: 100ml, 1L, 2L, 4L

  Helpful Project Tip

  Every finishing project is a system involving wood type, surface preparation, application method, and the combination of products used together. Always apply a small test area (on a hidden spot or scrap) using your full product stack — stain or paint followed by Polyvine — before coating the entire project. This confirms compatibility between layers; you are not just testing Polyvine, but the interaction of all materials used in the project.
  
  Good to Know: If any base product contains oil or wax (including many products with “oil” or “wax” in the name), allow adequate time for full cure before applying a water-based finish. Follow the other manufacturer’s cure-time guidance, then allow additional buffer time within your test period. Some products that feel “dry” may still be curing, and water-based topcoats can be less forgiving if wax- or oil-based solvents are still evaporating (out-gassing) from the layer beneath.
