Creating a battlefield river crossing scene using rubber boats
The advancing side will be forced to build a makeshift bridge over the river where the bridge was destroyed.
Each country organized an engineering unit to deal with such situations.
Additionally, various methods were devised to build temporary bridges over rivers, and these methods continued to develop throughout the war.
After the war, special vehicles were developed, including tanks with temporary bridges attached to their chassis.
