The AEM 21-763C Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. This air intake system was designed, tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific Volkswagen Jetta models. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The air filter is located in the original air box location and is protected by a heat shield which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The intake tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine's factory emissions control devices including the mass air flow sensor and vacuum line. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system is easy to install with commonly available tools and it is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Be Cooler About The Packaging and Instructions.

This packaging is TERRIBLE.
The "instructions" are TERRIBLE. They were just a single sheet with minimal info, SHOVED into the box randomly. Could've folded it flat and slid it in there. Both times I ordered this, I had this exact same experience.
Good thing I've put together tons of furniture and toys over the years.
I'm sure older people would have a hard time with assembling this.
At least it's light to move around without trouble, and blocks SOME light. Does not block the flood lights outside my building, which shine into my living room, but oh well.

The panels are pretty transparent anytime thereβs light that can shine through. They donβt stay on well either. There are large gaps between the panels so I had to hang blankets to really create privacy.
The whole thing feels pretty cheaply made but at least itβs light and was easy to put together.
