Rugged Ridge painted steel Tube Steps feature special E-coated, .07 inch wall steel that is thick source powder coated for a tough chip resistant finish. The special E-coat undercoating provides double rust protection as it bonds to the metal creating a protective layer found nowhere else. All Rugged Ridge Tube steps feature a truly custom fit with installation brackets constructed of durable 3/17 inch powder coated steel for long life and years of flex-free use. Each Tube Step Features special UV treated no-slip step pads with 5 mounting pins. These step pads are preinstalled on top of the tube, no exposed metal to rust. It is worth purchasing a Protection Plan on an unfamiliar item
Bought a 3-year protection plan for a nut milk maker machine for $5.99. It was a fairly new kitchen item in our household and we were not familiar with the brand. So, I bought the plan for a piece (peace) of mind. The machine worked nicely for about 18-20 months with daily use until it tripped the circuit outlet.
My initial chat with Asurion did not go as I expected due to discrepancy on their end as they see a protection plan for the nut milk maker as a sporting goods valued between $100-$199, not as a kitchen item valued between $30-$39.99. ( I had bought 3 different protection plan on th same day for multiple items purchased on Prime Days). They were looking at a different plan and I was unable to get them to "scroll over" to the appropriate protection plan.
I tried again on a different day during the first hour of their contact hours and had a cheerful Asurion agent who was able to find the appropriate kitchen item protection plan. It was a simple and thorough conversation and transaction. I was refunded within hours after I packed up and dropped off the damaged item out to UPS.
Moral of the story: Asurion Protection Plan is worth it and contact them at the start of their first day shift, not at the end of their evening shift.

You have to print return label!
4 of 5 because you have to print a return label and for those of us who don't need a printer therefor don't have one its too much trouble

No hassle refund
So glad I bought the plan. After 2.5 years of everyday use of my toaster, it quit working. Contacted Asurion, they emailed a shipping label. A few hours after I dropped the package off at UPS, I had the refund in my Amazon account. Very easy, no hassles.
