Ornate Tiger Moth Resin Earrings -- Grammia ornata
A common moth at porch lights in spring and early summer. The fuzzy caterpillars overwinter, and finish feeding in spring.
We collect these locally with special light attracting equipment. (moths love lamp) Strangely, only males are attracted to light.
Item Details:
- Whole moth only. If just forewing or hindwing is preferred, let us know :)
- Wings have a gorgeous epoxy resin finish on each side.
- Very lightweight.
- For earrings, choose .925 Sterling Silver or hypoallergenic niobium earwires. Niobium is less shiny and contains no nickel. See picture.
- Made for you item. May take a week or so from order to shipping.
