The factory cold-side pipe for the L5P is a measly 2.5in that chokes the engine and tight bends create even more restriction. The Mishimoto cold-side intercooler pipe is 3in in diameter throughout with smooth transitions to significantly increase airflow, resulting in more power potential. Mishimoto designed this pipe as two pieces, like the factory pipe, for ease of install. This kit also includes our silicone boots with DuraCoreâ„¢ technology. Mishimoto DuraCoreâ„¢ technology is the synthetic material that comprises the innermost layer of all Mishimoto silicone diesel boots. Compared to normal silicone, DuraCoreâ„¢ provides superior resistance to heat, pressure, fuel, and oil.
