SANDWICH 150

This 2-way standmount loudspeaker includes a 1.2" (30mm) coated textile dome high frequency driver and a 6.5” (170mm) Aluminium-Foamcore Sandwich mid/bass cone driver. At just 450 x 215 x 305mm, Sandwhich 150 is ideal for those small-to-medium listening/living rooms.

Combining remarkably low mass for rapid transient response with immense rigidity to vanquish the three horseman of cone distortion (transit "hangover," amplitude distortion, and intermodulation), Leak's all-new sandwich cone is so dynamic, so crystal clear, it's a smorgasbord of delicious musical treats.

A stiff aluminium outer skin is sandwiched to a closed-cell rigid foam polymer (polymethacrylimide), often used in aerospace applications. Feather light, immensely rigid and distortion free, this ingenious sandwich of materials creates a tasty listening experience you can sink your teeth into.

Leak's 'handed' array presentation means that the Sandwich has a definitive left and right speaker pair. This meticulous placement of each driver enables truly precise stereo imaging, placing you deep within the heart of highly detailed musical landscapes.

PAIR IT WITH ANYTHING

No point making affordable loudspeakers that look and sound spectacular if you can't power them. That's why Leak's recommended amplification range begins at just 25W. A focus on efficiency means that this Sandwich sounds delicious when paired with almost any amplifier.
