Six primary controls shape its tone and behavior. Volume sets overall output level, while Drive determines the amount of gain applied across cascading stages. Low, Mid, and High knobs provide active EQ adjustment, allowing precise control over frequency response. The Boost knob governs the output level of the onboard boost circuit, functioning independently or stacked for additional drive and saturation.
Two toggle switches further expand its flexibility. The Shift switch adjusts the center frequency of the midrange, shifting the EQ focus between tighter, cutting tones and fuller, rounded voicings. The Diode switch offers symmetrical, asymmetrical, or diode-lifted clipping options, each imparting a distinct character—ranging from compressed and articulate to open and raw.
Two footswitches complete the control layout. The Engage switch activates the primary overdrive circuit, while the Boost switch toggles the secondary gain stage for extra volume or grit on demand. Together, they allow seamless transitions between clean boosts, subtle drive, and fully saturated distortion.
