Maton Guitars Troubadour Traditional - 17013

The Maton Troubadour is perfectly suited to those who pour their heart and soul into their music, whether you’re crafting intimate ballads, storytelling through song, or composing the next great anthem. The Maton Troubadour is your trusted partner.

From Maton Guitars website, "The mahogany neck ensures a smooth, effortless playing experience, allowing your creativity to flow freely. Available in Dreadnought, Mini, and Traditional body shapes, the Maton Troubadour adapts to your unique style, offering powerful projection or delicate balance, depending on your preference."

The Troubadour Traditional body style is the outcome of combining inspirational sources, the 75th Anniversary Traditional model and the Custom Shop CS Classic.

The Traditional and CS Classic model designs originated in the Custom Shop. Their body shape is more akin to a deep-body OM Orchestra Model design. It incorporates the bracing and design elements of the 75th Anniversary Traditional.

Visually, the Troubadour Traditional has borrowed its look from familiar Maton models, which includes herringbone inner binding, white outer binding, a mahogany neck, streaky ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a streaky ebony headstock veneer. The mahogany neck provides tone and stability and the ebony board and bridge add a little top-end brightness to complement the balanced bass of the Queensland Maple back and sides.

The top bracing is fully scalloped and includes the laser cut bridge plate originally developed for the 75th Anniversary model, designed to increase strength without adding weight.

This is a wonderful guitar that will suit all styles of playing, from light fingerstyle to full-blown strumming, and of course, it is fitted with Maton's brilliant AP5 Pro pickup system which will make the Troubadour Traditional absolutely unbeatable on stage.

The Maton AP5-Pro Electronics

In its 5th generation, the AP5 Pro features an internal Microphone and 6-Piezo bridge input, with controls that allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through the well engineered pre-amp.

The highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This upgraded AP5-Pro microphone is direct mounted to the pre-amp casing with an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artist's playing style.

Using the ‘Sweep-able Mid’ controls. Mid-range is sweep-able from 600Hz to 2.4kHz and can be cut or boosted within this range. As a general rule we start out with all settings ‘flat’ then alter them to achieve the desired tone & presence based on the venue or recording environment. For example, an open, natural sound can be achieved by setting the frequency control at 1.4khz and the boost/cut control at 5db. Alternatively, for a ‘thick’ lead sound boost your Mid's by 5db and set the frequency dial at 1.7kh.

Excellent introduction
Format: Kindle
This is a well-written introduction for quickly learning how to use Ollama to run LLMs on your local machine. The book is light on theory but very good for facilitating hands-on experimentation. Only minimal Python experience is needed. Contrary to another reviewer's comment, the source code, which can be copied from the Kindle version of the text, is also readily available by emailing the author at the address provided. The final exercise in the book leads you through generating a RAG application to use Ollama to process your own documents without having to make them available to an external server.

Lim provides an easy-to-follow path to get an LLM-powered app up and running
Format: Kindle
Lim has written another really clear, easy-to-follow tutorial. This one walked me through the Ollama platform showing step-by-step how to download open weight models, query them, supply them with my own documents, and write applications that are powered by LLMs. Lim provides an easy-to-follow path to get the first version of an LLM-powered app up and running.
