Nano-Tech Bio-Sand combines the unmatched surface area of Nano-Tech Bio-Media and the superb buffering capability of aragonite sand. It is made by mixing the same material used in Maxspect's Bio-Sphere and Bio-Block with aragonite sand in a 1:4 ratio. This helps the sand buffer the aquarium's pH, while also providing a massive surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize.

(Notes: The sand is free from debris such as small twigs, rubble and other impurities.  However, it is normal for aragonite sand to contain small dark colored natural mineral particles.)

For optimal results, it is recommended to rinse the sand briefly before adding into the tank.
