The Borla SwitchFire® X-Pipe is a specialized performance component designed exclusively for use with Borla 3-inch Cat-Back™ systems on the 2018-2026 Ford Mustang GT and 2024-2026 Mustang Dark Horse (5.0L V8). This system replaces the standard Merge X-Pipe found in those kits with Borla's patented SwitchFire® technology. Unlike traditional X-pipes that have a turbulent center intersection, the SwitchFire® design uses hydroformed internal passages to completely blend and merge combustion pulses from both engine banks. This revolutionary design eliminates turbulence, resulting in improved exhaust flow, increased power, and an even more aggressive, custom exhaust note.
Constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel, this 2.75-inch inlet and 3-inch outlet component is built to last the lifetime of the vehicle. The hydroforming manufacturing process allows for a lower profile than conventional SwitchFire® pipes, ensuring optimal ground clearance for lowered Mustangs. Utilizing ultra-smooth mandrel bends and precision CNC manufacturing, this X-pipe provides a perfect fit within existing Borla 3-inch Cat-Back™ systems.
