Maton EBG808 Artist With Sitka and Blackwood

The combination of a “AAA” Sitka Spruce soundboard, Ebony fingerboard, Ebony bridge and Blackwood back, sides and neck produces a tone that is rich, full, well balanced and with the glassy highs essential to the tone of this fantastic guitar. This Maton EBG could be just what you've been looking for!

One of the most visually stunning furniture timbers available, Blackwood has also become an important tonewood. Most of the Blackwood comes from the Otway Ranges in Victoria, Australia. It often displays "fiddleback" character and "AAA" grade Blackwood can be intensely figured. It has a warm, full tone with a particularly pleasing mid frequency response and has become one of the most sought after timbers.

It may be of interest to learn, that whenever a Maton employee gets to make their own guitar, they almost always choose Blackwood. It is used in nearly every Maton either as a neck, back & sides, or internal component.

Using the ‘Sweepable Mid’ controls. Midrange is sweepable from 1 to 2khz and can be cut or boosted within this range. As a general rule for the system should start out ‘flat’ then be altered to achieve the tone desires. For example, an open, natural sound can be achieved by setting the frequency control at 1.4khz and the boost/cut control at 5db. Alternatively, for a ‘thick’ lead sound boost your mids by 5db and set the frequency dial at 1.7kh

This instrument is in Excellent Condition with one thing to note. There is slight finish seperation at the seam on the lower bout. This is just a finish flaw and does not go through the top.

Includes Original Hardshell Case.

This book is great!
Format: Hardcover
I bought this for a friend and it didn’t disappoint. It’s such a fun book! I’m definitely going to be borrowing it from her to make some of the recipes. The pictures are wonderful and the recipes don’t look overly complicated.

A Book I Wish I Had Back Then
Format: Paperback
This is EXACTLY the sort of book I wish I had available to me when I was ready to leave home. I was filled with all sorts of braggadocio and I knew everything I needed to get out the door..............and then was introduced to the 'school of hard knocks' From discovering how to budget and manage your money, to learning how to cook and eat healthy food, to figuring out how to start a career, this book has something to teach even the most well rounded youngster. These aren't in-depth discussions about every aspect of how to live your life, but these ARE a great starting point and with the knowledge provided here, and a little bit of common sense, you can survive early adulthood and move towards a more fulfilling life. Life is a series of learned events, usually set it motion through observing the people we respect, but not everyone can be everywhere at once and this book can and does fill in a bit of this and a bit of that, often inspiring a conversation that will provide more opportunities to share life lessons and avoid some of the bumps and bruises life has to offer. As a grandparent watching his oldest grandsons get ready to leave the nest, I found this book to be a helpful way to share my experiences in a way that goes well beyond "because I said so" and reaches into the 'how' and the 'why', even explaining the reasoning, all without seeming to meddle in their affairs. Unlike childhood where you can stomp your feet, declare 'that's not fair' and receive an immediate 'do-over', real life doesn't offer that and it's best to be prepared for what life is going to bring you. This book does that.

The book is full of 100 everyday life skills that we need in order to function. ones that we might not have been taught growing up. the most significant chapter for me was on the money and I had to deal with stress and anxiety.
