RECOMMENDED YARN: Dos Tierras by Malabrigo (50% Merino Wool / 50% Baby Alpaca; 100g/210yds): 3 Skeins, 1 of each color. Shown in Pearl, Sunset & Diana.
ALTERNATE YARN: Arroyo by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/335yds): 2 Skeins Main Color (MC), 1/2 Skein Color B & 1 MINI Skein Color C. Shown in Volcan, Aquas, & Glitter. Malabrigo is kettle-dyed in small batches to create subtle to highly variegated yarns. Washable, wonderfully soft and bouncy Merino wool from Uruguay.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 64” wingspan x 35" width at bind-off edge, after blocking without stretching
YARDAGE: 600 total yds
SKILL LEVEL: Easy - garter stitch, increases, YO to make eyelets.
NEEDLES: Size US 7 / 4.5mm 32-40" circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
OTHER TOOLS: Tapestry needle & optional pins for blocking
GAUGE: 20 sts x 48 rows = 4" in garter stitch, after blocking without stretching. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect yardage and finished size if different from above.
