If utility power is lost while the Eppendorf epMotion 5075vt is on and connected to the battery backup UPS, the instrument will continue to operate as if power was never lost until either power is restored or battery power is depleted (whichever occurs first). The built in power conditioning function ensures that voltage sags or surges will not damage the power supply of the attached instrument.
