- Example Compatible Models: Husqvarna 460 Rancher; Stihl MS310, MS390.
- Note: Always verify the required pitch, gauge, and drive link count for your specific chainsaw bar before purchasing.
When to Replace
- Chain produces fine sawdust instead of coarse wood chips.
- Increased force is required to push the saw through a cut.
- The saw pulls to one side during cutting, indicating unevenly sharpened or damaged cutters.
- Visible damage such as broken cutters, cracked links, or excessive wear is present.
- Chain tension is difficult to maintain.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance.
- Ensure cutters are oriented in the correct direction on the bar.
- Set the chain tension correctly; it should be snug against the bar but still pull around by hand.
- Lubricate the new chain and bar before the first use.
- Re-check and adjust chain tension after the first few minutes of operation as the chain will stretch slightly.
