WD19X25278 / WD18X21678 Dishwasher Diverter Valve Kit

Key Features

  • Intelligent Water Distribution: Engineered as a high-precision flow control device that directs pressurized water to either the upper, middle, or lower spray arms, ensuring optimized cleaning performance and water efficiency for every cycle.
  • High-Torque Synchronous Motor: Features a reinforced internal motor designed to provide consistent, high-torque rotation, preventing the diverter disk from jamming even when small food particles or mineral scale are present in the sump.
  • Precision-Molded Diverter Disk: Manufactured from a high-density, heat-stabilized polymer that maintains its structural integrity and sealing properties through thousands of "Sani-Rinse" and "Extra Dry" cycles.
  • Moisture-Sealed Electrical Connector: Includes a specialized multi-pin connector housing designed to resist corrosion and electrical shorting in the high-humidity environment beneath the dishwasher tub.

Compatibility & Fitment

This diverter valve kit is the standard replacement for most GE-manufactured dishwashers produced after 2015. Key compatible series include:

  • GE & GE Profile: Fits hundreds of GDF, GDT, GDW, and PDT series models (e.g., GDT695SSJ2SS, GDT580SSF0SS, PDT845SSJ0SS).
  • GE Café & Monogram: Compatible with various CDT and ZDT high-end units utilizing the WD19X25278 diverter style.
  • Hotpoint & Haier: Fits many HDF and QDT series models produced by GE.
  • Note: This valve is typically located at the Bottom of the Sump Assembly, often requiring the removal of the lower kickplate or tilting the unit for access.

When to Replace

  • One Spray Arm Not Spinning: The dishwasher runs, but dishes on the top or bottom rack remain dirty because the diverter is stuck and not sending water to that specific spray arm.
  • "H2O" or "71" Error Codes: Modern GE dishwashers may trigger a "71" or flow-related error code when the control board senses the diverter motor is not reaching its home position.
  • Loud Clicking or Grinding: A persistent mechanical clicking noise from beneath the dishwasher suggests the diverter motor gears are stripped or the disk is jammed.
  • Dishwasher Stops Mid-Cycle: The unit begins the wash phase but stops and beeps when it cannot successfully switch water flow between zones.
  • Leaking from Sump Base: Visible water dripping from the center of the diverter motor shaft area, indicating the internal seal has failed.

Installation Tips

  • Safety First: You MUST unplug the dishwasher or turn off the circuit breaker. This repair involves working directly with 120V electrical connectors and water-carrying components beneath the unit.
  • Access the Diverter: Most technicians find it easiest to access the diverter by removing the lower kickplate and the bottom pan (if equipped). In some cases, you may need to uninstall the dishwasher and tilt it onto its back.
  • The "Drip" Check: Before removing the old valve, place a towel underneath the sump. A small amount of water will leak out when the diverter is pulled from its housing.
  • Check the Shaft Seal: When installing the new WD19X25278, ensure the rubber shaft seal is seated perfectly. If it is pinched or misaligned, the dishwasher will leak from the sump during operation.
  • Clean the Sump: While the diverter is out, check the sump hole for seeds, toothpicks, or glass shards. Debris is the #1 cause of diverter disk jams and motor failure.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fun with a late blooming omega
Format: Kindle
I like this book. The story is fun, cute, and sexy. There's just a little drama, some excellent, steamy scenes, and a fairly good relationship building storyline. I especially like how all the main characters are a bit older than the usual 20 somethings I tend to see in this kind of book. Having said that, I wish there were more descriptions of the places, as well as the food in the fancy restaurant. I enjoyed the cocktails at the club, so I missed that kind of detail when Gray took Madison on a dinner date. I also wish there had been more interaction between Lucas and Madison, and Lucas and Rian. It felt a bit lopsided, with a focus on Rian, Madison, and Gray. I wish it had been proofread - there are a lot of typos, but nothing too distracting.
