TOTO Soire SoftClose Non Slamming, Slow Close Elongated Toilet Seat and Lid, is the latest in innovative smart seat technology. Constructed of solid, High-Impact Plastic, this unique seat is specifically designed to close softly and eliminate annoying Toilet Seat Slam. The seat and lid utilize a built-in SoftClose hinge system, which lowers the seat and lid down to the bowl gently and quietly. This seat is designed to match the TOTO Soire and Eco Soire toilets, but would also complement other TOTO elongated toilets as well as other brands of elongated toilets. The engineering of SoftClose incorporates TOTOs high standard of quality and consumer ease. Top tightening mounting bolts ensure easy installation. All mounting and installation hardware for the SoftClose seat is included, along with easy to follow installation instructions and care and maintenance guidelines.

When I first received it and placed it on, it continued to fall so I almost returned it. However, I found a method online that worked and it has not fallen since even after all the water and soap getting near it. I’ve placed it on a stainless steel sink so not sure if the method works on other surfaces. Clean the area with soap and water and then make sure there’s no soap residue. Make the water temperature hot and “heat up” both the steel surface and the suction. While it’s still wet, firmly place the suction and make sure it doesn’t move. That should do the trick!
