È originaria della zona dell’Alsazia, nota anche come capitale della produzione del vino alsaziano. Le origini di questa miscela dolce si perdono nella notte dei tempi. Greci e Romani usavano fare pani dolci aromatizzati con miele utilizzando queste spezie dai profumi e sapori delicati.
