A superb all-round bag for general mountaineering and lower altitude trekking trips. With a tapered fit, this protective bag is ideal for those looking to reduce weight.

Ideal for: Mountaineering, Backpacking & Trekking

Weight: 1010g/2 lb 3.6oz (Regular), 1050g/2lb 5oz (Long)

Good Night's Sleep Temperature: -9°C/16°F

Combining high-quality down, technical expedition-proven construction elements and a durable, water-resistant outer fabric, the Glacier 450 is a highly versatile bag ideal for all-around mountaineering, trekking and climbing expeditions where nighttime temperatures dip below freezing.

The 465 of minimum 700-fill power DOWN CODEX-approved duck down offers excellent warmth for minimal weight, while the lightweight and water-resistant 30-denier DRILITE® LOFT™ outer fabric with recycled face.

Trapezoid baffles across the top of the bag ensure optimal loft, reduce cold spots and prevent down migration. In contrast, at the foot of the bag, a six-baffle system focuses warmth around your feet—an essential in sub-zero conditions. In the hood, a five-baffle system ensures the down is optimally distributed for warmth and protection over long-term use.

Inside the bag, our time-tested EXL® elasticated stitching system minimises dead airspace, reduces drafts, and pulls the liner fabric away from the down, allowing it to loft effectively for maximal warmth. Meanwhile, a full-length Gemini™ entry zip baffle eliminates heat loss in this vulnerable area and is stiffened so it won’t catch in the zip. The low-profile magnetic Lode Lock™ closure and collar drawcords are effective and easy to use in the dark.

Based on our tapered Alpine fit to maximise thermal performance while minimising weight and with a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature of -9oC (16oF), the Glacier 450 is ideally suited to summer alpinism and general mountaineering, as well as lower altitude trekking, backpacking and camping.

Perfect for people who take carry on bags flying to beach vacation!
Style: Spray (2 Oz)
THE only spray on sunscreen, that is NOT a 200 SPF, thats less than 3.5 ounces so TSA doesnt confiscate it from bag en route to Cancun. I keep a few in the drawer and take the partially used one from last trip to finish off plus a new sealed one as backup. Smells great and sprays a fine lovely mist so you dont fry. LOVE this product. A GREAT purchase. We dont check bags and its hard to find ANY product in under 3.5 ounce packaging. Sure you can pour sunscreen into bottles that mfg says do not leak, but youll learn the hard way that they DO leak all over the inside of your suitcase. Skip that learning experience and buy COOLA.

Best Sunscreen and Reef Safe
Style: Spray (6 Oz)
I've been using this sunscreen for a couple of years now and this is the one! The lotion and the spray are both great, smell good and are reef friendly and organic. They are pricey but my skin appreciates the extra!

Worked well near the equator
Style: SPF 50
I bought this product because I was going to be in the field for a month, outside, every day, all day, in Tanzania at high altitude. A severe sunburn would be hard to treat in the remote area we were in, but also I am very careful about protecting my skin from aging. I had to have mineral based sunscreen because as a whitewater kayaker I know it’s the only truly water resistant kind and it was going to be sweaty. And since I knew I was going to be putting it on every day, and we didn’t have running water in the field (bucket showers only) I didn’t want it to feel gross. (I really wanted to try the spray but I didn’t want to put anything pressurized in my luggage.) And I had already discovered the Coola face sunscreen (30spf version) which had impressed me with how silky smooth and not greasy it is. Now this IS greasier because it is a higher SPF. BUT I think this product is as good as you’re going to get with the protection you’re getting. Like I said, I’m a white water tiger, so I have used a LOT of mineral sunscreens. This was hands down the most comfortable one I’ve used. And it was effective. I didn’t burn once—only time I did burn was when I forgot to put it on one day toward the end of the trip, when we were out for just a couple hours—and I got the first 2nd degree burn I’ve ever had in my life. That was what this stuff had protected me from, all day every day, the entire trip. I did tan a little but I think that was mostly from the few times I was not covered during short bouts or it was cloudy. For my face I used the Coola 50spf face product.
