Het verhaal van Sweet Baby Rays:
Het begon allemaal in 1985, toen Larry Raymond een local Chicago boy en kok het familie BBQ sausrecept perfectioneerde. Met de zoete, pittige BBQ saus deed hij mee aan de grootste sparerib wedstrijd van het land, the Mike Royko Rib-off. Hij won de 1ste prijs uit 700 deelnemers. Dat zegt genoeg. Hij vernoemde de saus naar de bijnaam die zijn broertje, David, ooit kreeg toen hij basketbalde op Chicago's West Side - 'Sweet Baby Ray'. The rest, as they say, is history. Nu bestaat uit assortiment Sweet Baby Rays uit vele lekkere smaken maar allemaal trouw aan de slogan: The sauce is the boss!
