Paolo Scavino is een historisch wijndomein in de Barolo regio opgericht in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto. Tegenwoordig leidt Enrico Scavino samen met zijn dochters Enrica en Elisa dit familiebedrijf dat staat voor eigenzinnigheid en karakter maar hij combineert dit op een fantastische manier met moderne technieken. Zijn meer dan 60 jaar ervaring heeft hem geleerd te investeren in een goede cru Nebbiolo om de eigenheid van elk terroir tot uiting te laten komen. De wijnen staan dan ook één voor één voor een zuivere expressie van elk terroir complexiteit en elegantie. De Scavino familie bezit 29 ha eigen wijngaarden maar bewerkt daarnaast ook nog 20 historische Barolo wijngaarden gelegen in Castiglione Falletto Barolo La Morra Novello Serralunga d’Alba Verduno en Roddi. De specifieke vinificatie die wordt toegepast levert meesterlijke fruitige en krachtige Barolo’s op die erg gewild zijn. Een Barolo met een veelzijdige expressie en mooie balans. Het karakter van deze wijn wordt gevormd door precisie intensiteit en lengte. De aroma's worden versterkt door een mooie kracht en helderheid. 100% Nebbiolo. Nebbiolo van wijngaard Rocche di Castiglione (1970 1999) en Fiasco (1979 1984) in Castiglione Falletto en Cannubi (1946) in Barolo. Oogst gebeurt manueel normaal gezien in het tweede deel van oktober.

Avene has been a well known brand all around Europe, Australia and Asia; easily accessible from most Chemists. Good for combo skin. Scented.
This moisturizer has a lightweight texture. It reminds me of a gel-cream. It does have a floral/powdery/fresh scent. It doesn’t bother me that much but a lot of people don’t like scented face products. I took off one star for the fact that it’s scented because I feel it’s unnecessary. Especially since this moisturizer is labeled for sensitive skin. I also feel like it is pricey for the small 1.3 floz bottle. It seems a bit basic for $40 doesn’t it? I have combo/acne prone skin and I am currently on prescription tretinoin/hydroquinone cream from my dermatologist. I needed a face moisturizer that is light and wouldn’t clog my pores but also super hydrating. My skin is very sensitive right now and I had no issues with this moisturizer. I felt it provided the perfect amount of hydration without being greasy and heavy feeling on my face. I don’t like heavy moisturizers. The hydrance rich version is way too heavy for me. The finish of this light moisturizer is soft and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling, like some face moisturizers do. I can wear this year round. It is hard to find the perfect balance of hydration without being greasy. Overall I will keep purchasing it because I am extremely picky about the texture of my face moisturizers and this one is perfect for me. It also wears well under sunscreen and makeup. I do think it’s a little overpriced and the fragrance is unnecessary. Overall it works for me but it’s very important to know about the floral fragrance. The fragrance does go away after a little while but it is present upon application and also minutes after. If you don’t mind the fragrance and have combo, acne prone skin like I do, you will probably like the texture. If you don’t want to pay the money for this avene, try vanicream face moisturizer. The cerave pm face moisturizer is also kinda similar. The vanicream face moisturizer being the most similar to avene light, in my opinion. Vanicream is also unscented and a fraction of the price. Make sure it is the one specifically for the face, without sunscreen. I was not sent this product for free and this is not a paid review. All honest opinions here.
